Project description:

The semiconductor market is evolving quickly, so it is challenging to keep up with technological developments. The implementation of the project "e-AppliedCeramics" will stimulate the development, growth, and competitive advantage of the company Applied Ceramics as a medium-sized business in an area of Croatia which is particularly interesting for industrial development. Investment in advanced ICT solutions and equipment will speed up business processes, which will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the company and to developing new competencies. The final beneficiaries of the project are employees, administration and management, customers, and high school students, as well as the scientific research sector with which the company seeks to develop a stronger partnership.

 

Objectives and expected results of the project:

The overall objective of the project “e-AppliedCeramics” is to encourage the development, growth and competitive advantage of the company Applied Ceramics as a medium-sized business in an area of Croatia that is particularly interesting for industrial development.

The project purpose (specific objective) is to invest in advanced ICT solutions and equipment to accelerate and manage the business and production processes, to contribute to increasing the competitive advantage of the company and to develop new competencies.

This is a central objective of the project, whose achievement will contribute to achieving the overall goal of the project “e-AppliedCeramics”. The implementation of the project will solve the main problems detected and specified in Applied Ceramics Ltd. Croatia.

Achievement of the specific objective and implementation of the project "e-AppliedCeramics" will increase the sales of Applied Ceramics by the end of 2019 by a minimum of 13.13% compared to 2014, and will open a net 8 jobs directly in the production and processing of semiconductor components.

Expected results:

  • To develop and upgrade the ERP system ACID and purchase equipment

  • To build a network of manufacturing CNC machines, purchase equipment and educate employees

  • To procure and implement programming and design software for laser cutting for the needs of the production process and to conduct employee training in the branch

  • To modernize and upgrade control facilities for the production of industrial sapphire and to conduct employee training in the branch

  • To digitalize and modernize the quality control department, chemical cleaning, packing and shipment of finished products (and to purchase software and equipment)

 

Total project value:

1.302.042,87 HRK/ app 175.619 EUR / app 190.828 USD

 

The amount of EU incentives:

1.152.307,94 HRK/ app 155.423 EUR / app 168.883 USD

 

The implementation period of the project:

From 31.12.2016. to 31.12.2017.
